Why Deal in Rubbish?

Why bother creating a business that, among other offerings, focuses on dumpster rentals? And more broadly, why is the dumpster and equipment business en vogue currently?

We’ll start with why we exist. As the FAQ alludes to, Evolve Hauling was born from a couple of folks that are public servants, allied health providers, and small business owners; husband, wife, and friend/longtime co-worker. Having spent countless days, nights, and hours with patients, customers, clients, and professional peers, we grew hungry for a new set of challenges, a little bit of sweat, and a new way to engage with the community while providing a service of measurable value. Trucks, trailers, tractors… Tools we used professionally and personally for so many years suddenly became the vessels for our new endeavor. We were, and continue to be, incredibly fortunate that our efforts through other careers have equipped us to work in this field with all of the proper certs/endorsements, equipment, insurance(s), etc. Any job worth doing, is a job worth doing well.

The more whimsical “why” regarding Evolve Hauling, and some of you will understand this with a deep nostalgia attached, is the simple pleasure of making a “dump run” on a sunny Saturday afternoon, riding in mom and dad’s old pickup, and coming back to a tidy home and cool drink. This work, it ain’t so bad…

And why is dumpster rental on an a, seemingly, exponential rise? Hard to say for certain but the idea of being your own boss seems to be growing in popularity, and this is one route that doesn’t *seem* as daunting; trucks instead of cubicles, steel toes instead of loafers, and business plans that can be written in familiar terms. Maybe there’s a comfortability in trash and junk that contrasts the “elite” world of the office. This presents an intriguing but worrisome situation, though…

When the barrier-to-entry is perceived as comparatively lower than-, we are seeing a lot of upstart participants in the game. The reality is that this business, done safely and operated above board, is resource-hungry and requires multiple layers of insurance, authorization, inspection, clerical work, and maintenance. Whether you work with us or another servicer, we encourage everyone to deal with companies that are honest, reliable, and established to local and federal standards.
